How many women can you name who play the harmonica?

Most Americans can’t name one female harmonica player! And yet there are outstanding players all around the world. This website was created to shed some light on this virtually unexplored area of music.

"As a disc jockey, I’ve been perplexed for years why so few women play the harmonica. It’s light weight, easy to carry around and women have at least as much wind power as men. I decided to investigate the subject and after some digging, discovered quite a few gals who play the "Mississippi Saxophone." Their numbers aren't large, but there are a number of good players around the world, who can blow with the best as you will hear." ~ Norman Davis 2011

(p.s. I still don't know why so few gals play the harmonica?) - NORMAN DAVIS 2014- RadioThrills.com
